Job Summary:

The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our healthcare system. As a registered nurse at Wellstar Health System, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform the nursing process, utilizing evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to provide individualized care.
  • Provide relationship-based patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve goals, using effective communication methods and timely documentation.
  • Practice using current clinical practice standards, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
  • Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
Professional Development and Initiative:
  • Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
  • Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, ensuring a qualified workforce and modeling the professional practice of nursing.
Required Minimum Education:
  • Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing - Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
  • Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Required Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years RN experience Required
  • Direct patient care experience Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
  • Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and hold basic computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills, and customer service skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
  • Excellent time management skills and practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
