We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Millington-Memphis Airport. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our airport facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees, passengers, and visitors.

• Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform a full range of cleaning duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices, and common areas, sweeping/mopping floors, polishing furniture, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning interior/exterior windows and doors, and gathering trash.
• Supply Management: Stock cleaning supplies and necessary paper products to keep restrooms and facilities ready for public use, and report to office admin supplies orders.
• Light Maintenance: Perform light maintenance duties such as painting, unclogging plumbing fixtures, changing light bulbs, and changing HVAC filters.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on floors, ceilings, and restrooms to maintain appearance and public safety.
• Equipment Operation: Operate equipment used in custodial duties such as brooms, mops, vacuums, floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and small tools.
• Debris Removal: Collect and dispose of debris and trash in and around airport facilities.
• Reporting: Report and provide written lists of accomplished tasks each shift.

• Communication Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from operating manuals, chemical application instructions, airport policies and procedures, and FAA regulations.
• Teamwork: Ability to comprehend terminology used within airport operations and to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff members.
• Independent Judgment: Ability to use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations.
• Planning and Organization: Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily assignments and work activities.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to work under a minimum degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention to detail.
• Cleaning Procedures: Ability to utilize a variety of cleaning procedures in a safe manner and determine appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
• Maintenance Skills: Ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs.
• Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Physical Demands: Subject to heavy lifting, as much as 50 lbs., and a distance of four feet from the ground. Subject to extensive standing, walking, and stooping. Must have the ability to climb stairs safely while carrying cleaning supplies.
• Weather Conditions: May perform some duties outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Driver's License: Valid Tennessee driver's license preferred.
• Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
• Experience: Minimum of six (6) months experience performing custodial duties.
• Probationary Period: A six-month probationary period applies to this position.
• Availability: Must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and as needed for special events (fly-in/airshow).
• Background Check: Must pass a background check and a drug screen.
• Non-Smoking Environment: Will work in a non-smoking environment.

• Hourly Rate: $15 per hour / Depending on Experience
• Part-Time Position: This is a part-time position and does not include benefits.
