- Assume clinical responsibility for all respiratory care modalities.
- Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures to assess patient conditions.
- Utilize independent judgment to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Evaluate and recommend care plans for patients receiving respiratory therapy.
- Implement care as per physician orders or established protocols, adjusting plans based on patient responses.
- Initiate and monitor the administration of respiratory medications and procedures.
- Accurately document all relevant patient information for medical records and billing purposes.
- Conduct arterial and capillary blood gas analyses while ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain proficiency in interpreting data and executing appropriate interventions.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of blood gas analysis equipment in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development and enhance workplace practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Core Skills: Registered Respiratory Therapist, ACLS, BLS
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy; must hold RRT certification, BLS, and ACLS.
- Experience with Epic EHR or similar electronic health record systems.
