Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at St. Michael Medical Center - Silverdale. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care Assistance: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and privacy.
  • Prepare Residents for Meals: Prepare residents for meals, serve and collect trays, and assist with setting up and feeding residents/patients.
  • Transfer and Lift Residents: Help residents with transferring and lifting, raising residents in beds, and turning residents.
  • Monitor Patient Conditions: Obtain temperature readings on residents whose medical conditions warrant such monitoring, collect urine samples, weights, and intake/output.
  • Check on Residents: Regularly check on residents/patients to ensure their comfort, dignity, and privacy.
  • Perform Related Duties: Perform related Nurse Assistant duties as assigned to ensure efficient unit operation.
  • Maintain Departmental Policies: Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Provide Oral Care and Hygiene: Provide oral care, nail care, and basic hygiene to patients.
  • Bathing and Dressing: Assist patients with bathing and dressing, including bed baths, showers, or tub baths.
  • Relay Information: Relay information to the next CNA on shift or to the nurse in charge.
  • Post Mortem Care: Provide post-mortem care as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited CNA program, licensed, certified, or registered with the state, and active AHA BLS Certification.
  • Experience: Evidence of 1 year of experience in the role of CNA.
