Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team in the Bethel Park area. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-to-one care to our patients, enabling them to remain at home with their loved ones.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as necessary.
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and update the nursing care plan to ensure effective patient outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses, implementing care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession through continued education and skill evaluations.
Requirements:
  • 6 months experience as a practicing nurse (new graduates welcome to apply).
  • Nursing License (active and in good standing with the board).
  • CPR Certification (current, hands-on BLS).
