Job Summary

YesCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Bibb Correctional Facility in Brent, AL. As a Registered Nurse with YesCare, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility, including performing continuous CPR until properly relieved.
  • Administer and document medications on the Medication Administration Record, and document all nursing care provided.
  • Perform histories and physicals on inmates, assess patient health status, and refer to appropriate level of healthcare provider.
  • Physically assist Physician in patient examinations and treatments, and implement and follow up on Physician/Dentist verbal and written orders.
  • Teach healthcare information to patients and correctional staff.
  • Collect samples, specimens, and cultures per Physician orders.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies, participate in disaster drills, and follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
  • Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy, and follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
