Job Summary

The Dietitian is responsible for approving menus, providing nutritional assessments, and counseling patients and their families on dietary plans. This role requires a strong understanding of nutritional principles and the ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Approve menus and modified diets for patients
  • Provide nutritional assessments and counseling to patients and their families
  • Monitor the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of dietary experience in a healthcare facility
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) licensure to practice dietetics in the state of New Mexico
