Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this position is responsible for the preparation of various operating expense accruals, liaising with business partners to gain an understanding of our underlying business, and leveraging that knowledge to develop journal entries, conduct flux analyses, and perform reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Month-End Close Process: Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
- Investigations and Flux Analysis: Lead investigations into and prepare flux analysis for certain operating expenses.
- Process Optimization: Pursue optimization and automation of existing processes.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Cultivate cross-team relationships among Finance and business stakeholders.
- SOX Controls: Own and operate SOX controls as necessary.
- Strong Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills with an interest and aptitude for working with large amounts of data.
- Finance or Accounting Background: BA/BS with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience: 2+ years' experience in public accounting, mid-to-large-sized tech or high-growth company.
- Audit or Internal Audit Experience: Audit or Internal Audit experience, desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- ERP Experience: Workday or other ERP experience preferred.
- Month-End Close Experience: Experience with a month-end close process preferred.
- CPA: CPA, with a solid knowledge of GAAP preferred.
