Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifeguard to join our team at Grand Pacific Resorts. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our guests in the pool area, providing world-class service, and promoting a positive and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, owners, management, and associates.
  • Ensure the safety of all guests in the pool area, adhering to pool rules and regulations.
  • Monitor the pool, hot tub, and slide areas, and provide immediate and appropriate action in emergency situations.
  • Perform designated rescue practices and provide emergency care and treatment as needed.
  • Ability to swim with proficiency and endurance, analyze situations, and adopt a quick and effective course of action.
  • Deal effectively and perceptively with guests, and promote teamwork with colleagues.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing, background check, physical examination, and drug screening test.
Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain lifeguard certification upon offer for hire.
  • Previous lifeguarding experience preferred.
  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Knowledgeable of principles and techniques of preventive lifeguarding, water rescues, first aid, and CPR.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry (time share preferred).
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
Physical, Environmental, and Other Requirements
  • Must be able to act swiftly in emergency situations.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must also be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Clear vision (close, distant, and depth perception) and auditory ability is needed for navigating office and all other buildings within the resort, as well as maintaining constant observation of pool, hot tub, and slide area to respond to critical incidents, as needed.
