Switchboard Operator

This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate staff members, and ensuring timely communication within the agency. As a Switchboard Operator, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, requiring exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate staff members or departments
• Ensure timely communication and efficient call flow
• Greet visitors professionally and direct them to the relevant staff member
• Process and distribute mail, packages, and faxes
• Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and record-keeping

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Able to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a professional demeanor
• Prior experience with computerized phone systems and database management (preferred)
