Patient Care Technician

NYU Langone Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Inpatient Holding unit. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide high-quality patient care, maintain a safe and clean environment, and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Collect and transport patient specimens, as directed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) or HeartSaver CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nursing Assistant Certification
- 1-2 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant
