Job Title: 1st Shift Driver

Job Summary:
Benjamin Steel CO is seeking a reliable and skilled 1st Shift Driver to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various establishments. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL, prior driving experience, and a mechanical background.

Key Responsibilities:
• Complete pre-trip inspections prior to driving each day.
• Plan the shortest and fastest route based on the truck's load.
• Ensure the load is chained and secured, tarped, and properly flagged.
• Be aware of road, traffic, and weather conditions and adjust driving accordingly.
• Assist in pulling orders, loading, and unloading the truck.
• Collect all C.O.D.s and return checks and cash to the office immediately upon return.
• Perform Warehouse functions when needed and when driving work is not available.
• Keep the truck clean and in proper working condition at all times.
• Complete post-trip inspection at the close of each day.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL with prior driving experience.
• Mechanical background.
• DOT Physical Exam Card.
• Four points or less on MVR.

Working Conditions:
The 1st Shift Driver will be required to work 95% of the workday, which includes driving, lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, and climbing. The ideal candidate will be able to present a positive image to customers as a company representative.
