About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Orora Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review job orders to determine work priorities and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Coordinate activities of co-workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas or air required for operations.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Direct training and indoctrination of co-workers to improve work performance and acquaint co-workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Work with Plant Manager to prepare department budget.
  • Responsible for environmental compliance according to County, State and Federal guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
