POSITION SUMMARY

Catalyst Health Group, previously known as Family Healthcare Associates, is on the lookout for a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). In this role, you will operate under general supervision, executing a variety of patient care responsibilities and preparing individuals for examinations and medical procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate effectively with medical assistants to facilitate efficient patient flow.
  • Prepare patients for their examinations.
  • Accurately document patient history and reasons for visits.
  • Measure and record vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
  • Administer medications and injections, monitoring patient responses to treatments.
  • Document outcomes related to treatments and medication administration.
  • Assist clinical staff during examinations and procedures as directed.
  • Triage walk-in patients and emergency calls to assess the need for immediate care.
  • Conduct timely blood pressure checks for walk-in patients.
  • Under physician supervision, manage prescription refills and ensure proper documentation.
  • Coordinate referral appointments and necessary diagnostic procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and procedures.
  • Prepare examination and surgical rooms with sterile instruments.
  • Collect lab samples and complete necessary documentation.
  • Adhere to universal precautions to safeguard both patients and staff.
  • Organize incoming medical records into patient charts through accurate documentation and scanning.
  • Maintain stocked examination rooms with essential supplies.
  • Ensure the cleaning and sterilization of medical instruments in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Assist in laboratory tasks, including blood draws.
  • Demonstrate the ability to connect with diverse individuals across various backgrounds.
  • Commit to delivering quality healthcare services and education to the community in a compassionate manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited LVN program is required, along with current licensure.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
