GHJ Search and Staffing is the recruitment division of GHJ, a leading national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries.
Temporary Controller OpportunityWe have partnered with a stable and growing Manufacturing company to help identify a Temporary Controller. This position would be considered for the role as an employee and is key within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
- Manage and coordinate month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
- Implement internal controls and SOP's, including training of personnel.
- Compliance and timely external reporting requirements.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads and senior management to develop accurate financial projections.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
