Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with various cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders.
- Provide emotional support and act as an advocate for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Administer medication and treatment, and provide education to patients and families on treatment regimens and management of side effects.
- Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel, and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider certification within 30 days.
- 1 year of direct experience in a mental health/psychiatric setting.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or other languages as required by the department.
Working Conditions:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.
- Significant Hazard: Physical risk/injuries due to combative patients.
- Significant Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials requiring PPE.
Education:
- Essential: Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate.
- Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree.
Physical Conditions:
