We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health in Charleston, SC.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing procedures following established protocol and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists. They will assist radiologists during procedures, manage the supervision of student Radiologic Technologists, and ensure care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform procedures following established protocol and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists.
- Assist radiologists during procedures and manage the supervision of student Radiologic Technologists.
- Ensure care and safety of patients during imaging procedures, following age-appropriate care protocols.
- Obtain correct written orders for procedures and efficiently accomplish patient care assignments.
- Utilize imaging equipment efficiently, minimizing repeat examinations and focusing on cost containment.
- Instruct and prepare patients, assist in obtaining informed consent, and ensure patient understanding of procedures.
- Enter correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history into the computer system and effectively communicate with radiologists.
- Adhere to hospital, departmental, and safety policies, practicing good radiation protection and maintaining licensure requirements.
- Assist other imaging team members and clerical staff, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and initiative.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and promote the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to perform and teach Nuclear Medicine exams. Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations is required, along with the safe operation of Nuclear Medicine and post-processing equipment.
