Computed Tomography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Optum. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic computerized tomography examinations, utilizing your technical expertise to ensure high-quality images and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Position patients and adjust equipment for performing CT scans, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
- Perform C.T. examinations as ordered, utilizing CT scanner protocols based on individual patient needs.
- Examine digital CT images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, and motion.
- Authorize release of patients upon completion of the CT examination.
- Maintain and clean examination rooms, stocking necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
- Responsible for CT quality control and documentation of necessary medical requirements.
- Assist in the department as needed and attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Board Certified in C.T.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).
- 1+ years of experience as a CT Technologist.
