Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Director to lead our projects from inception to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of assigned projects, ensuring client satisfaction, schedule adherence, budget management, quality construction, safety compliance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with project owners, designers, and trade partners to support business development efforts.
  • Work closely with the preconstruction team to provide input on subcontractor selection, scope review, constructability reviews, project staffing, and scheduling.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of contractual obligations, including owner contract agreements, subcontractor agreements, plans, specifications, addenda, project manuals, and technical reports.
  • Provide timely feedback to the preconstruction staff regarding issues encountered during construction.
  • Lead the project team to ensure performance in accordance with contract requirements and company policies.
  • Understand local building department regulations to obtain necessary permits for projects.
  • Coordinate project turnover, site mobilization, and the installation of public utilities.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, negotiate prices, and resolve scope gaps or cost duplications.
  • Create and issue subcontracts and material purchase orders for projects.
  • Ensure all subcontracting and purchasing activities are complete and available for the field as required by the project schedule.
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, changes, RFI's, delays, and contract issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a combination of field/work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour training certification.
  • ICC Certification G12 – National Standard General Building Contractor (B) within the first year of employment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and document management software.
  • Experience with construction project management and scheduling software is required.
  • Prior experience with Vista by Viewpoint, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Project is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 based on experience. Additional benefits include:
