Key Responsibilities:

CNC Operations

  • Ensure optimal machine performance at or above the designated CNC production rates.
  • Acquire skills in various techniques such as hand trimming, polishing, and component assembly to fulfill job orders effectively.
  • Package finished parts, affix appropriate shipping labels, and organize materials accurately.

Forming Processes

  • Maintain machine operation at or above established forming rates.
  • Utilize tools like heat guns and sonic gauges to enhance quality and production efficiency, adhering to established standards.
  • Detect defects by comparing finished products to sample standards, addressing issues such as blemishes and warping.

General Duties

  • Log into all assigned jobs and follow the Job Traveler requirements meticulously.
  • Verify that the machine has a signed sample and that current production matches the approved specifications.
  • Evaluate quality using test fixtures and measuring devices, as well as visual assessments.
  • Set up and operate a band saw for scrap trimming to meet acceptable sizes.
  • Accurately count parts and complete Daily Management Boards as required.
  • Ensure all documentation is thorough, precise, and submitted at the end of the shift.
  • Accurately enter information into the E2 system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all 5S tools are accounted for and outdated paperwork is removed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to foster a secure working environment.
  • Comply with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Exhibit continuous improvement in both quality and productivity.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Control (QC) is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations and job specifications.
  • Effective communication skills with fellow employees.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for calculations involving whole numbers.
  • Able to understand various specifications and information presented in written or verbal formats.
