Key Responsibilities
  • Weld metal parts together on subassembly and production lines using the metal core GMAW (gas, metal arc welding) process.
  • Interpret and read drawings to ensure proper weld sequencing and sizing to complete work.
  • Inspect work and related work of others and report any defects or discrepancies to supervision immediately.
  • Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
  • Operate overhead cranes, Jib cranes, or forklifts safely to move and set large parts to machine or fixture.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year welding experience required.
  • Welding certification preferred.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, etc.
  • Some standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of forty pounds.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company.
  • Incumbent may be required to work overtime as required to meet schedules.
  • Must comply with all environmental, quality, and safety rules, practices, and standards.
