The Automotive Warranty Administrator is responsible for managing the warranty claims process for automotive products and services at Covert Chevrolet Buick GMC - Bastrop. Key Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate processing of warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies
  • Verification of warranty coverage for automotive parts and services by reviewing manufacturer warranties and service agreements
  • Collaboration with service technicians to identify warranty-related issues and propose appropriate solutions
  • Coordination with manufacturers and suppliers to secure authorization for warranty repairs or replacements
  • Maintenance of detailed records of warranty claims, including documentation, approvals, and reimbursements
  • Monitoring the status of warranty claims and ensuring timely follow-up for resolution
  • Assistance to service advisors and dealership personnel with warranty-related inquiries
  • Collaboration with the accounting department to manage warranty receivables and payables
  • Staying updated on manufacturer warranty policies, procedures, and changes to ensure compliance
  • Identification of process improvements for efficiency and contribution to the development of effective warranty processing systems
  • Adherence to dealership and industry standards for customer service, professionalism, and ethical conduct

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or relevant certifications preferred
  • Previous experience in automotive warranty administration or a related field is beneficial
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and dealership management systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions with customers, colleagues, and manufacturers
  • Problem-solving skills to address warranty-related challenges and find effective resolutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with automotive terminology, parts, and repair processes is advantageous
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and building positive customer relationships
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and fast-paced dealership environments
  • Drug testing may be required
