- Deliver the school's comprehensive guidance curriculum effectively.
- Support the organization and scheduling of students.
- Contribute to the professional development of educators regarding the guidance program.
- Administer assessments as needed and interpret results for students, parents, and staff.
- Clarify the role of student support specialists to community agencies and school personnel.
- Engage in research initiatives to evaluate student needs and the effectiveness of support services.
- Assist in preparing necessary reports for educational authorities.
- Help students gain a better understanding of themselves and their community.
- Foster a positive school environment by aiding teachers in understanding student behaviors.
- Guide students in making informed decisions that will impact their futures.
- Facilitate parent-teacher conferences to help parents understand their children's strengths and areas for growth.
- Support students facing social and academic challenges, including attendance issues and disciplinary concerns.
- Participate in orientation programs for new students.
- Lead classroom guidance activities.
- Identify curricular needs and work towards addressing them.
- Engage in admissions, review, and dismissal meetings as appropriate.
- Contribute to the development of standardized testing programs.
- Oversee the administration of standardized assessments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent or building principal.
- Master's degree in guidance and counseling.
- Valid counseling certification.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
