We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team at Health First Medical Group LLC. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and ensure accurate documentation of exam results.
  • Perform ultrasound exams in compliance with regulatory and department processes.
  • Accurately complete all required written and electronic documentation.
  • Ensure all charges are complete and accurate for all procedures and supplies used.
  • Review exam orders from medical charts and prescriptions prior to performing an exam.
  • Properly position patients using appropriate technique.
  • Properly identify, prepare, and administer medications within the technologist's scope of practice.
  • Maintain productivity as determined by leadership.
  • Practice aseptic and sterile technique per Infection Control guidelines and policies.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and disinfected prior to each patient encounter and report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Radiology Technology, Sonography, or Cardiovascular program.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI).
  • One of the following certifications: RCCS, RCES, RCIS, RCS, RDCS (AE), RDCS (FE), RDCS (PE), RDMS (AB) (OB/GYN), RDMS (BR), RDMS (FE), RDMS (PS), ARRT (BS), ARRT (S), ARRT (VS), RVT (VT), RVS.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
  • Prior sonography work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
  • Medium work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, with or without assistance.
  • May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
Work Environment

May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.

May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC Guidelines.

May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter.
