We are seeking a skilled and driven Technical Product Manager to join our dynamic engineering and product team in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the chance to engage with advanced cloud-native technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Spring Boot, React, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, BigQuery, and our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Your tasks will include...
- Collaborating with Product Owners, User Experience designers, and the data engineering team, as well as directly with our dealers to identify customer needs, define requirements, and establish acceptance criteria.
- Coordinating with various interfacing product teams within Ford Credit and Ford Motor IT, Originations, Sales, and Risk organizations to design and implement complex integrations across multiple systems.
- Creating and maintaining product roadmaps, prioritizing tasks, refining and managing the backlog, and proactively monitoring and enhancing team performance over time.
- Championing the Agile PDO methodology, including metrics and ceremonies, while promoting the adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Participating in a variety of tasks, including gathering user feedback and defining/refining features and stories.
Preferred qualifications include...
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in product management and Agile methodologies.
- More than 5 years of experience in managing user requirements, features, and user stories, as well as estimating, managing, and tracking the delivery process using Agile tools like CA Rally or Jira.
- Strong leadership abilities to drive the team, product, and stakeholders forward independently.
- Effective problem-solving skills to take ownership and lead the resolution of issues and blockers both within and outside the team.
- Proactive identification, mitigation, management, and resolution of risks.
- Understanding of core Agile, DevOps, and software craftsmanship concepts, including pairing/mobbing, test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), feature flagging, A/B testing, and blue/green deployment.
- Familiarity with monitoring and visualization tools, as well as analytics tools like mouseflow and Adobe Analytics.
- Ability to communicate and present effectively at all organizational levels, engaging with technical, business, and external audiences.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification as a Google Cloud Digital Leader or higher.
- Knowledge of Ford Credit's business operations and the broader automotive financial services landscape.
- Insight into in-dealership sales, financing, and insurance operations.
- Experience with whiteboarding, UX wireframe, and technical diagramming tools such as Miro, Figma, and Visio.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, monitoring, and visualization tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- A working understanding of core software development toolchains, including GitHub, Nexus/JFrog, Cloud Build/Tekton/Jenkins, Terraform, Checkmarx, Sonarqube, FOSSA, Apigee, 42crunch, and Cycode.
- A working understanding of microservices architecture and API-driven development.
- Familiarity with core GCP platform concepts.
