Job Summary:

As a Pre-Operative Registered Nurse at Village SurgiCenter - Erie, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe transition of patients through the pre-operative process. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, and implement total nursing care for pre-operative patients
  • Record and report all symptoms, reactions, abnormalities, and changes in patient conditions
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Care and discharge pre-operative patients according to facility policies
  • Review patient charts for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify surgical consent and pre-operative workup
  • Communicate effectively with OR nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Knowledge of healthcare products, stock rotation procedures, and inventory control
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in emergency situations
