Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team as a Travel CT Technologist in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.
- Maintain sterility of the field and instruments.
- Correctly prepare requisitions.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety and maintain patient dignity.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and respect patient confidentiality.
- Verify patient identification according to AHS policy.
- Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections and report any sudden changes to nursing staff and radiologists.
- Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies and complications.
- Maintain adequate linen supplies in each scanning room.
- Maintain adequate contrast media and biopsy/drainage supplies in each scanning room.
- Adhere to room assignments (CT 1, 2, and 3).
- Assist in maintaining the CT storeroom and outside inventory.
- Participate in daily inventory and stocking of supplies.
- Notify the lead of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
- Clean and inventory supplies.
- Participate in the routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use.
- ARRT certification.
- BLS certification.
- Emergency Response training.
- HIPAA compliance.
- Radiographer experience.
- Venipuncture skills.
The successful candidate will work a 40-hour week with 37.5 hours of direct patient care and 2.5 hours of administrative tasks. The schedule will include 10p-6a shifts, some weekends, and holidays. On-call shifts may be required.
