About the Role- Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging
- Duration: Ongoing
- 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiologic equipment and techniques, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring patient comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm understanding.
- Position patients appropriately for various imaging examinations, selecting optimal exposure factors and radiation protection methods.
- Identify and label images accurately, comparing requisitions to physician orders to ensure exam accuracy, and process images for quality control.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory agencies and enter patient information into the radiology information system.
- Serve as a technical resource, role model, and preceptor for students and staff, promoting ongoing education and professional development.
Licensure, Registration, and Certification Required:
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Education and Experience:
- Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology from an accredited or approved program.
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in a diagnostic imaging role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in radiology positioning and techniques, aseptic techniques, and C-arm procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of radiation safety and radiology equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse healthcare providers.
- Intermediate computer skills.
