We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Plasma Center Nurse to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Evaluate and manage donor reactions, which occur at the facility, and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Manage donor deferral, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs.
- Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI) and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be assigned: Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification required.
- Fulfillment of state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Able to satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
