We are currently seeking dedicated Custodian Associates for our parking garages and lots. Ideal candidates will possess experience in janitorial tasks, adeptness with heavy-duty cleaning equipment, and the ability to handle a variety of hands-on projects independently. Previous experience in security, warehouse operations, janitorial work, or lawn care will be advantageous.

Custodian Associates will have flexible working hours based on client needs. Some shifts may start as early as 6 AM, while others may extend until midnight. Flexibility in availability is crucial to ensure the proper maintenance of our facilities, which are located in some of the most unique areas downtown.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain power washers, power sweepers, power scrubbers, and other company equipment.
  • Occasionally perform snow removal tasks, including loading and unloading snow removal chemicals, shoveling sidewalks, and operating salt spreaders.
  • Provide initial troubleshooting for equipment issues as directed by the Maintenance Services Manager.
  • Assist with light maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Services Manager.
  • Serve as Courtesy Patrol, assisting customers as needed and reporting any unusual activities to security and management.
  • Notify the Maintenance Services Manager of safety and maintenance concerns beyond custodial duties.
  • Clean windows, remove broken glass, and address any sanitation issues as necessary.
  • Eliminate cobwebs from light fixtures and other areas, maintain cleanliness in stairwells, and ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a background check.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, excluding breaks.
  • Capable of lifting 50 to 75 lbs consistently.
  • Willingness to walk long distances within parking facilities.
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with colleagues and customers.
  • Provide customer service solutions in a courteous manner.
  • Consistent attendance for scheduled shifts is essential.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Work Schedule

  • Tuesday - Saturday (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
