The Security division plays a crucial role in upholding the safety and regulatory compliance for all patrons and employees of Encore Boston Harbor.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to all Encore Boston Harbor core values and implements property and departmental standards.
  • Actively participates in enhancing departmental performance, ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of policies and procedures; maintains records and reports.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant internal policies, as well as federal and state laws, regulations, and controls throughout the property.
  • Delivers and sustains a Forbes-standard level of service and satisfaction across the property.
  • Contributes to effective communication and best practices company-wide.
  • Stays updated on all new developments within the department.
  • Manages multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines, often in high-pressure situations.
  • Escorts and monitors guests and staff to ensure their safety; identifies potential hazards and reports them to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Conducts regular patrols of assigned areas to maintain a secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Minimizes risks of loss or damage by anticipating potential issues and responding to disturbances or prohibited activities.
  • Becomes knowledgeable about hazardous materials used on-site and adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Responds to emergencies and communicates critical information via radio to coordinate appropriate responses; informs external agencies of any unusual or suspicious occurrences as directed by management.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the facilities and special events to assist guests and team members effectively.
  • Ensures the secure handling of funds and assists in the opening and closing of gaming tables.
  • Interacts positively and professionally with guests and team members.
  • Maintains a set of keys for accessing restricted areas as necessary.
  • Requests and verifies identification from individuals appearing under the age of thirty to ensure compliance with gaming regulations.
  • Upholds the confidentiality of guest information and relevant hotel and gaming data.
  • Prioritizes safety and adheres to departmental and company safety protocols.
  • Engages in ongoing education and training to maintain industry knowledge.
  • Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
