Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join our Packaging & Specialty Plastics Business. This role will support our High-Pressure Copolymer Plants.

In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in optimizing plant operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the operations team, utilizing your technical expertise to enhance plant performance.
  • Apply knowledge of plant technology and historical data to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure the effective application of Most Effective Technology (MET) and leverage process automation for optimization.
  • Engage with experts for advanced troubleshooting and operational discipline improvement.
  • Analyze and document root causes of asset utilization losses.
  • Maintain a strong field presence to reinforce safety and procedural compliance.
  • Conduct daily reviews of operational logs and alarms to stay informed about plant activities.
  • Monitor and maintain Key Process Indicators (KPI) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to plant emergencies and act as a technical expert during unplanned events.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance Raw Material Efficiency, focusing on yield and waste reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with operating permits and contribute to overall system optimization.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
