Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heating Systems Specialist to support industrial and commercial contractors in the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. In this role, you will enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits, and a flexible work schedule.

Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $40-$45 per hour, which is a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills, experience, and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Install or connect compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion and discharge valves, temperature and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, environmental controls, and related components.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, inspect, diagnose, modify, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including boilers, air handlers, hydronic systems, chillers, cooling towers, fans, fan motors, pumps, and pump motors, electric controls, and associated safety devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and services for various HVAC systems, refrigeration, and distribution systems, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems within and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry codes.
  • Offload, reclaim, recover, and dispose of refrigeration chemicals from all equipment and systems; recommend layout, work sequences, types of materials, inspect room and area thermostat controls; clean, calibrate, and set temperatures.
  • Create, prepare, and update maintenance work orders; review and understand system blueprints; utilize and operate basic hand and power tools; operate commercial lift equipment, climb ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Perform internet research of various products and systems, repair parts, and technical documents.
