As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide high-quality assistant services in the operating room and other medical settings under the direction of our experienced surgeons.
Responsibilities- Provide general surgical assistant services in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Assist surgeons with prepping and completing procedures, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and patient care.
- Remove drains, tubes, and other medical devices as needed, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Closely assist with patient office visits and assume call responsibilities when assigned, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Perform all necessary charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork to document care and billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in physician educational programs and contribute to the development of quality assurance, utilization management, and patient education initiatives.
- Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and expense reduction.
- Participate in operational assessments to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and improve billing efficiency.
- Assist with post-operative care, including daily rounds and wound assessments, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent.
- 1 year of clinical experience.
- SC Nurse Practitioner certification and CPR certification required.
- In lieu of minimum requirements, completion of Nurse Practitioner Surgical Residency Program.
This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work shift is day, and the location is Centennial Way Practices, with the facility being 2444 MCCW-Urology and the department being MCCW-Urology-Practice Operations.
