Procurement Visionary

Palmer Group is seeking a seasoned Procurement Visionary to lead our procurement team in the Des Moines, Iowa location. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a holistic procurement strategy that drives business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with business objectives
• Lead a team of procurement professionals in sourcing and purchasing products for our entire organization
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and profitability
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and service
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• 5+ years of prior procurement experience, with 2-3 years in a management role
• Produce and wholesale foods purchasing/procurement background preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work well with internal associates and external partners
