Job Title:
Electrical Mechanic - Commercial Construction

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled and dedicated individuals to join our Commercial Construction team as an Electrical Mechanic for projects in the Charlottesville area and beyond.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate and grow your skills in the electrical trade, as well as train and mentor apprentices and helpers.

Responsibilities:
Thorough knowledge of electrical trade principles and concepts
Cutting, bending, threading, and installation of EMT conduit of all sizes
Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, setting fixtures, and various electrical devices
Experience seeing installs from start to finish
Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints
Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational school or prior training preferred
Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts
Strong interest in the trade and a desire to learn and develop new skills
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and following established protocols
Pre-employment drug screen and background check will be performed
