This position focuses on Engine Systems Design Integration (ESDI) for a major NPI initiative.


Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates the integration of components and products, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
  • Oversees product and system requirements, specifications, and their dissemination.
  • Leads validation and verification processes for the complete product/system, including system-level assessments.
  • Defines product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partner teams.
  • Manages the interface between components and execution teams.
  • Drives critical-to-quality (CTQ) and risk assessments within design teams.
  • Maintains overall product configuration and the configuration control system.

Possesses specialized knowledge within the function, influencing strategic development in the area of responsibility, including resource management and policy formulation. Interprets internal and external business challenges, recommending best practices to enhance products, processes, or services. Remains updated on industry trends that may impact work.

Utilizes a high level of judgment to navigate complex tasks or challenges in operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering domains. Capable of evaluating the quality of information provided and posing relevant questions to stakeholders. Able to propose innovative solutions to challenges beyond established parameters and construct well-founded recommendations using various internal and some external resources.

May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates intricate concepts and may influence others' perspectives on specific topics. Guides others to consider alternative viewpoints.


Required Qualifications
  • Active US Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or a related discipline focused on mechanical or aerothermal design) from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering role.

  • Experience in aviation propulsion system integration.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including familiarity with relevant engineering tools and systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering related to turbomachinery design, testing, or systems engineering.
  • Talented and highly motivated with sound engineering judgment.
  • Effective contributor in a structured, cross-functional team environment.
  • Engineering experience in GE Aviation turbomachinery systems integration or a similar systems engineering role.
