Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Stationary Engineer Supervisor to join our facilities management team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of stationary engineers in maintaining and improving the operation of our hospital's mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and supervision, with experience in managing teams and budgets. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems, as well as implementing sustainable practices to minimize energy consumption.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of stationary engineers in maintaining and improving the operation of our hospital's mechanical systems
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Implement sustainable practices to minimize energy consumption
  • Supervise and train engineering staff on mechanical system maintenance and repair procedures
  • Manage budgets and track expenses related to mechanical system maintenance and repair
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability
