Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician

As a Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician at US Foods, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet. This position demands strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with team members and drivers.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced technician who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of commercial diesel mechanics and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with diesel equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to read and understand technical and service manuals
- Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and annual tool allowance.
