Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will operate assigned scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. You will provide exceptional patient care, adhering to professional standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient CT Imaging (90%):
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal results.
    • Perform routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated body parts, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
    • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Scanning Department Support (5%):
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
  • Other Tasks (5%):
    • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
    Requirements:
    • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
    • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
    • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
    • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
    • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • CT Certification.
    • Bilingual.
