Ascension Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director to lead our nursing team in the Observation Unit at Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing clinical activities, developing departmental goals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, and service level determination.
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives aligned with medical, administrative, and legal requirements.
- Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure the nursing area operates within allocated funds.
- Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
- Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience in nursing required, with 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
