Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Rutherford Regional Health System. As an ED Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including triage, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel as needed.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide patient education on hospitalization, medications, and post-discharge care.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of acute care experience, with recent experience in the Emergency Department preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 3 months of hire.
