Job Description
We are hiring an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to work with our Toxics Reduction and Healthy Communities team. This is an entry-level position in the environmental job classification series. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing two key program areas through technical support, outreach, training, and policy development: environmentally preferable purchasing and integrated pest management. The role involves data analysis, report writing, developing online dashboards, and researching product environmental attributes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement green purchasing criteria language in City contracts.
  • Manage data cleaning, analysis, and processing for Buy Green and Integrated Pest Management Programs.
  • Maintain and improve online dashboards for both programs.
  • Conduct research on product environmental attributes.
