  • Communicate staffing needs to the Operations Manager or recruiters via the Requisition Form, assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates.
  • Ensure that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills, including performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.).
  • Address employee grievances with the support of district or region HR employees and the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in enforcing company and union policies.
  • Provide a positive work environment by treating staff with respect.
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to identify, meet, and exceed customer needs.
  • Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific OJT, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for security personnel.
  • Reconcile security logs against shift responsibilities and patrols; review incident reports prior to submitting to the manager and coordinate preliminary investigations.
  • Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles utilized at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists.
  • Effectively utilize VALIANT for scheduling and billing, and to produce reports that require interpretation and action for effective business management.
  • Enforce Gateway Group One policies as outlined in the handbooks and executive memos.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and arrive at work in complete and clean assigned uniform.
  • Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor and provide quality customer service.
  • Be a good communicator (both verbal and written) and capable of handling typical and crisis situations both efficiently and effectively.
  • Understand and successfully execute post orders, including enforcement of client and company policies, rules, and regulations.

  • Generally, one year of security and supervisory experience.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Problem identification and solving skills.

  • Financial/mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested.
  • Reliable transportation to get to the work site.
  • Motivated, and able to work well independently and in a team environment.
