Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in our Acute Care department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
  • Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
  • Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Serve as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Required Education: Graduate of accredited LPN program
  • Required License: Must have and maintain a current North Carolina or other compact state LPN license. BLS Certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Preferred Experience: Minimum two (2) years' experience working in an ambulatory clinic. Possess an ability to function in a high-stress, physically demanding setting
