Job Summary

As a School Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing essential health services and support to students with special needs, ensuring their well-being and safety during school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Maintain NG Tubes/G Tubes and monitor chronic health conditions, such as seizures
  • Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support the health and educational goals of students

Requirements

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of CA
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Salary Range

$30-$34 per hour
