About the CNC Programmer Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Phantom Staffing. As a CNC Programmer, you will play a critical role in assisting and facilitating production by programming, verifying, and improving processes to produce parts on all CNC machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and schedule programming work by due date, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Review prints and models to determine the ideal machine and tooling for production.
  • Verify programs, tooling, and fixturing with operators to ensure quality parts are produced.
  • Accomplish work by receiving prints and/or models, evaluating and ordering tooling as necessary, designing fixtures as necessary, programming effectively and efficiently using CAM software, and interfacing with operators.
  • Maintain workflow using the schedule and time management to ensure operators have programs before they are needed.
  • Communicate with machine operators to ensure quality parts are produced.
  • Maintain company standards by exemplifying and enforcing core values and quality baseline.
  • Direct software, tooling, and fixturing requests to Plant Manager.
  • Maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company and OSHA requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Strong understanding of tooling equipment, tooling processes, and industrial standards.
  • Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities based on the schedule.
  • Committed to meeting and maintaining quality standards for the company.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.
  • Experience in the set-up and operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Able to creatively solve problems and collaborate with others to generate ideas and improve processes.
  • Adapts to the evolving needs of diverse scope and complexity.
  • Demonstrates the ability to coach, develop, and work well with others in a team setting.
