About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Primary Care Physician to join our team as a Medical Director. As a member of our Care Team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to our patients and leading our team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care:
- Administers or prescribes treatments as needed
- Discusses potential side effects with patients and advises on disease prevention
- Refers patients to specialists as necessary and follows up on high-risk cases
- Conducts physical examinations and provides information for admission to schools, jobs, or insurance coverage
- Provider and Team Support:
- Works collaboratively with care teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Instills confidence in care and facilities among patients, employees, and stakeholders
- Assesses training needs and promotes developmental activities among medical staff
- Clinical Administration:
- Reviews patient files, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status
- Elicits and records patient medical history and examines patients for symptoms or physical information
- Orders and executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to understand patient conditions
- Determines and prescribes patient medications and vaccinations as necessary
- Documents patient visits, including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action
- Doctorate in medicine required
- California Medical license in good standing required
- Valid DEA and CPR certification required
The estimated salary range for this position is $268,000-$360,000 per year, depending on experience, for Family Practice, and $281,000-$380,000 per year, depending on experience, for Internal Medicine.
