About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at ICONMA. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist the OR Circulating RN in preparing the room for the start of surgery, including opening sterile packages and selecting appropriate equipment.
  • Instrument Setup: Set up the instruments and equipment required for the procedure, maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
  • Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to standards of safety and infection control in the delivery of patient care, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Serve on committees as assigned, participate in in-services, and assist with the orientation of new employees to the department.
  • Professional Development: Pursue own professional growth through continuing education and in-services, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Additional Responsibilities: May be required to assist with the transport of patients to surgery or to escort patients out of the building upon discharge, attend meetings as assigned, and assist with putting orders/supplies away in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
