Job Summary

The Automotive Service Technician, reporting to the Store and Service Managers, is responsible for performing basic and advanced car maintenance and repair tasks, inspecting vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshooting issues to ensure vehicle is performing appropriately and the customer is taken care of.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform skilled mechanical work, analyzing and diagnosing problems to deliver high-quality results.
  • Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts, performing preventative maintenance on automobiles to extend their lifespan.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, continuously learning new technical information and techniques to remain competitive.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company's vision, mission, and core values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, managers, and suppliers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in automotive service, automotive mechanic, and/or engine diagnostic work in a professional capacity.
  • ASE Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Must have Technician Tools and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to operate and drive vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending.
  • Occasional exertion of 50-100 lbs of force, and/or 10-25 lbs of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
  • Requires working at a production rate pace, entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials.
